About Me

A thousand years have passed; the whipping steed, the eastern cliff, the poem remains.

Self-introduction does not come naturally to me; pinning labels on oneself only exposes one's rough edges. But my thinking has shifted: reserved modesty fits poorly in a restless age, and only those who dare to present themselves can carve out a foothold. Perhaps only when you embrace the world will the world embrace you in return.

The Writing

If I had to sum myself up in one word, it would be "contradiction". Beyond a few fundamental convictions, my own thoughts are often in conflict, so I rarely pass judgment. People change, but the years remember. More of what I think and feel lives in the Essays section.

Pass the lamp from one to another, until ten thousand lamps are lit.
